Bio

Carolyn began her life long love of body mind integration as early as 12 years old. She began journaling and asking the questions about life that demand introspection, exploration and knowledge. After receiving her BA in Communications & Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound, she worked as a Computer Systems Engineer for Fortune 500 companies in the Northwest. A college tennis player, one-time triathlete, and fitness fanatic, she began to do yoga upon moving to Southern California in the early ‘90s. She is a 20 year breast cancer survivor, recently endured the end of her 24 year marriage and is writing a book to help men see what their choices do to those they love.

Those life challenges caused her to go to cognitive therapy where she found herself frustrated, disappointed and with little hope. Talk alone didn’t fix or change things. Therapeutic drugs masked the problem and postponed the pain. She refused to believe that they were the answer to her problems so she began to explore alternative methods.

BodyWork for the Mind is the culmination of those efforts. Always one for body movement and mind integration, Carolyn learned to bring a unique blend of “systems” knowledge and intellect of the eastern world of healing to her work. The 10-week transformation program is a part of a Holistic Health Practitioner program she feels is an integral part of her own personal transformation, and healing.

She approaches life with enthusiasm and love for the deeper parts of life. You won’t find her enjoying “cocktail” talk, more likely she’s in the back room studying your bookshelves or engrossed in someone’s life story. She likes her role as a facilitator, guide and coach.

Let her show you how to help yourself... there are ways. Let her empower you.
