Bio

Carolyn has had a life long fascination with the mind/body connection. She journaled early on about the changes that occurred in the body after exercising. She was drawn to ask the hard questions about life that demand introspection, exploration and research. After receiving her BA in Communications & Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound, she worked as a Computer Systems Engineer for Fortune 500 companies in the Northwest. A college athlete and fitness fanatic, she began to do yoga upon moving to Southern California in the early ‘90s. Her passion for health and well-being drew her into the holistic world of massage, nutrition, movement and meditation after a personal recurrent battle with breast cancer. She's a strong advocate of the power of the mind's influence on the body.

Carolyn believes that massage, yoga and meditation are the keys to our future healthcare system. She is committed to helping others find alternative ways of addressing chronic pain, acute injury, repetitive use, and bad habit health concerns through posture. Her own journey out of cancer, depression and menopause have played a role in her current bodywork success.

Carolyn received certified massage training at three of the BEST SCHOOLS in Southern California - The Body Mind College, Western Institute of NeuroMuscular (WIN) Therapy and Healing Hands School of Holistic Health. Yoga and Health certifications were received from The Deepak Chopra Center.

BodyWork for the Mind is the culmination of all of her life experiences. Carolyn brings a unique passion for “systems” knowledge and puzzle solving to the human body. Her 10-week TRANSFORMATION program is truly a one of a kind blend of both her Eastern and Western healing modalities.

Carolyn approaches life with enthusiasm and love for the deeper parts of life. She likes her role as a facilitator, guide and coach.

Let her show you how to help yourself... there are ways. Let her empower YOU!
